Re: Cream cheese with dill

You know that since you told me you don't like peppers in my house, you don't eat peppers anymore? Yesterday I asked Dani to buy one for me. that I want to make chimichurri.

Ioana 10 years ago - January 4, 2009 11:58

Re: Cream cheese with dill

you can't, I don't eat peppers but I buy for Radu! For him I also filled these peppers, I had the cream separately, as I can't find good tomatoes at this time and I only took one for the chimichurri. The chimichurri was the first time I ate something with raw peppers and it was ok that I didn't feel it in particular.

Re: Cream cheese with dill

dana, I'm so glad he winked at you for the appetizer. to make them look even better you can choose colored peppers (yellow, green, red) and then decorate them with dill leaves, tomato slices or a few chili flakes that I made.
long live your nephew!

Ioana 10 years ago - June 29, 2009 12:13 PM

I tried it on the weekend, wonderful !! But how many wonders I found on this site, I'm not a gourmet by nature but they left me with so much water in my mouth and I'm going to try many recipes from here. Thank you very much, you saved me (because many times I have no idea what to cook) and I found recipes to my taste (and I'm naturally pretentious!)

Boats with cream cheese

Another aperitif very easy to make, but tasty and effective: cream cheese with dill, placed in & # 8220barcute & # 8221 donut or bell pepper. It is important, in the case of this preparation, that the cheeses used are of good quality, neither too dry, nor too watery, nor too salty, nor too sweet. Once this & # 8220problem & # 8221 is solved, the actual preparation is a breeze. The arrangement can be a bit more difficult, but it also depends on everyone's skill and what you intend to do.

As I did not make this cream cheese for any festive meal, I admit that I did not bother too much with the decoration. But there are many options you can use. For example, you can take bell peppers of different colors, you can cut them into rectangles 6 cm long, & # 8220 wavy & # 8221 natural, put with the spirit a little cream cheese and garnish with two almond flakes & # 8230 The multitude of colors will it certainly delights the guests' eyes. Galetta with cheese and dill

For the dough: 1/2 cup (250 ml) oil 1/2 cup boiling water 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup baking soda (quenched in vinegar) 1 cup white flour 1 cup wholemeal flour.

For the filling: 1 kg of cottage cheese 5 eggs + 1 egg (for greased tart) a dill salt.

Method of preparation

We turn on the oven, and we start the dough. In a bowl, mix the oil with boiling water.

Add the salt and baking soda quenched in vinegar.

Then comes the flour. First we mix in the dough with a spoon, and after the components are bound, we knead lightly by hand, so much so that we combine everything in a ball, not very homogeneous.

Let the dough rest under a towel for about 20-30 minutes.

After it has rested, knead the dough once more until you get a smooth ball.

We spread a sheet as big as the oven tray, not too thin.

And we arrange it in a tray lined with baking paper.

Combine cheese with eggs and dill.

Then, transfer the mixture to the dough sheet and give it a round shape.

Fold the edges of the dough nicely. Flatten the galetta lightly with your palm and shape its edges.

Then bake it at 180 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.

After the first 10 minutes, grease the dough with beaten egg.

After removing the galetta from the oven, it is good to let it cool before cutting it.

The winter holidays are knocking at our door, so we are on the last hundred meters with the finishing of the shopping lists for preparing the menu for Christmas and New Year. For this reason I hasten to bring you recipes for simple appetizers with cheese and yogurt from Olympus, but also 2 two salads that can help you have a balance between meals with lots of meat.

Mistake yogurt can be the best solution for something fast, tasty and healthy. For this reason, I chose to prepare in the live on Facebook (made for the first time for me in the store) some cheese balls, boats of cucumbers stuffed with cheese, peppers stuffed with cheese and dill, a fir tree (as in the video on YouTube), but also a Greek pasta salad and a potato salad like oriental salad, to which I brought an extra flavor with cheese cubes.

Greek yogurt has a silky texture and a very good taste. The telemeau used for the recipes below can be cow, goat or sheep and we can combine any of them, depending on tastes. You will be delighted by their creamy texture and good taste. If we generally consume the cheese as such, with a little imagination we can bring it on the Christmas table in special appetizers and everyone will enjoy the fact that the menu has something new this year.

When we take care of our loved ones, obviously in the first place we will consider what the meal is like. If we are thinking of preparing traditional recipes, we can make room on the table and some beautifully presented appetizers. I am sure that everyone will notice and appreciate them.

The salads I propose can complement the appetizers, but can also be served as such as a side dish or as dinner. And as appetite comes from eating, we can say that appetite comes from trying new recipes.

INGREDIENT:

1.For cheese balls:

For the decoration of the balls:

diced colored bell peppers

2. For the Olympus Cheese Tree:

2 tablespoons Olympus sour cream

1 tablespoon chopped smoked salmon

for fir decoration:

2-3 tablespoons chopped parsley

a few cubes of colored bell peppers

3. Peppers stuffed with cheese and dill

1 pack telemea goat Olympus

1 tablespoon Olympus sour cream

4. Cucumber boats with cheese and yogurt

5. Greek pasta salad with yogurt dressing

2-3 slices of variously colored bell peppers

400 g Greek yogurt Olympus & # 8211 10%

300 g Olympus goat telemea

parsley leaves for decoration

6. Potato salad with telemea

1 kg of boiled potatoes

1 small cucumber or a quarter long cucumber cut into cubes

slices of variously colored bell peppers cut into cubes

1/2 teaspoon lemon juice / vinegar

To prepare any of the appetizers proposed above, we will mix with the help of a robot (or a vertical mixer) our favorite telemeau with yogurt or sour cream. Depending on the desired texture (if we want it softer) we will add yogurt or sour cream only after mixing the quantities above.

Add freshly ground pepper, salt only if we eat very salty and chopped dill.

model cheese ballsbetween the palms, then roll them through the desired settings. We arrange each ball on a salted biscuit or directly on the plate.

If Christmas treewe will give it a conical shape. We can make one, bigger, that will be in the center of the plate, or smaller and more, depending on the number of guests. Decorate it with pepper cubes so that it is a colorful and cheerful presentation. Here you can see the movie in which you can be guided to model a cheese tree.

For peppers stuffed with cheese and dill we remove the stalks, we take care that there are no seeds left and we fill them with a posh with Telemea cream and Olympus cream, we leave them in the fridge and we cut them only before they are put on the plate to be eaten. If the peppers are very small and the job seems complicated, we can cut them in half and fill them with great care, without soiling their edges.

For cucumber boatswe will peel the cucumbers, still leaving a few stripes for the appearance, then we remove the middle with seeds and we fill with cream from the telemea with yogurt (or with sour cream), then we decorate according to our own imagination.

To prepare a Greek pasta salad with Telemea and Olympus yogurt we will boil the pasta according to the indications on the package, drain them and then mix them with oil, chopped vegetables (tomatoes in quarters if they are bigger, and peppers in small cubes), season with salt, pepper and a little oregano, red onion (if we want to keep the idea of Greek salad), pieces of telemea and mix. We put the yogurt at the end and mix it lightly to homogenize the salad. I'll leave you with another video for preparing this salad here.

For potato salad with Olympus telemeawe will boil the potatoes in their skins until a fork easily enters them. Drain them, let them cool a bit, then peel them and cut them into cubes of the right size. Put them in a bowl and mix them with the rest of the ingredients until smooth.

If you want to see how I prepared some of them in the live on Facebook, I leave the movie below:
